SDL - Zankou

Redo of Zankou's profile dealie-doo for SDL~ I'm kinda.. still playing with the comic thing. Other important things keep coming up, and as I've said I'm super busy, but at least I managed to get her profile pic together! Sooo~ new intro comic to come soon? Yes.

Zankou is a pirate that was marooned in Japan from a very unhappy set of circumstances. She spent all of her time studying weaponry and ninjitsu to be an assassin in order to seek vengeance- in particular against Yakuza, whom she hates the most. She fights using her Kusarigama mostly, though she has some throwing knives, short knives and a flintlock up her sleeves (or down her pants) as well. She hails from Jamaica and has a bit of an accent (think Jamaican + Pirate + Engrish.) it's a wonder anyone understands her!

She's generally easygoing but very in-your-face. She enjoys a good time, gambling, drinking, and searching for booty (hah!) as well as honing her skills. It is only when she gets down to business, or has an opponent to go against does she get serious.

Her hair is all braided (there are 10 long strands falling almost to her ankles) and there are small pointed onyx rocks attached to the end of each braid. She usually carries around two Kusarigama (in case one is out of commission) slipped under her sash from behind (not pictured here). She has both eyes, and both of them work. She uses the eyepatch for training her right eye to see better in the dark, and, during nighttime or in a dark space, she'll switch the eyepatch to the other eye. She's used to operating like this, and can even use her long-range weapon with great accuracy. If she's really in a pickle, though, she can always remove the eye patch to face off against a difficult opponent.
